Sources close to American Idol host (and radio host, and occasional actor) Ryan Seacrest confirm to OK! that he is oh-so-close to being named as the replacement for CNN chat legend Larry King when the 74-year-old's contract expires in 2010.

"The deal is days away from being signed," the source tells OK!. "But basically everything is agreed on right now."

The insider expects that — assuming AI is still on the air — Ryan would continue as host of the hit musical competition, but it's likely he'd have to say "Seacrest out" to his morning radio gig.
