TV Weekly Recap: Adrian Grenier and Thom Filicia!
(me and Thom!)

Nothing like having a lazy Sunday afternoon brunch.

That’s exactly how I started off the week, chowing down on glazed ham at the Bud Light One sponsored holiday brunch, hosted by Ugly Betty’s Ana Ortiz and She’s Got the Look judge Robert Verdi.

I cornered Robert, who styles Eva Longoria, to find out what the Desperate Housewives star would rock at next month’s Inauguration celebrations in our nation’s capital.

“We've haven't started anything yet,” he admitted to me while curled up on the couch at the Luxe laboratory in midtown Manhattan. "Eva and I always have a little conversation before we pick an outfit to decide what the look will be, like short with sequins. Then I start pulling clothes."

Sequined and short. Sounds like a good start to me!

On Monday, our newest OK! addition, Will Reiter, stopped by the Charity Water Ball, held at the Metropolitan Pavilion, and chatted with the event’s host, Entourage’s Adrian Grenier.

Adrian was pretty mum about the upcoming season of his signature series, only revealing that the boys will be back in production this March. “It’s all top secret,” Adrian said of season six’s storyline.

Just like the next Aquaman script? You sure know how to pique our interest, Vincent Chase!

Thursday I attended a holiday party hosted by interior design guru Thom Filicia to celebrate his new book, "Thom Filicia Style," at the George Smith furniture showroom.

Thom's tips on decorating for the holidays? "It's been a tough year, so don't be afraid to personalize your look," suggests Thom, who starts shooting the fourth season of Style Network's makeover series Dress My Nest next month.

"Light lots of candles, make lots of cocktails and have lots of friends and family around."

Don't worry Thom, we will.

Until next week, fellow fanatics!

Ugly Betty: Holiday Dressing

There’s no new Ugly Betty until next year (ay, dios mio!).

That doesn’t mean the hard-working assistant won’t have a work party or two to attend over the holidays.

Wondering what Betty would whip together for her office shindig, I once again called on stylist Wendy “The Image Lady” Brown to give us her rendition of the perfect party ensemble for our favorite New York girl-on-the-go!

“Betty’s curves are a defining feature of her body type and she manages to combine completely eclectic pieces for looks that somehow work –  despite all odds,” Wendy laughs.

Wendy's picks? A vintage dress (Betty is trying to be frugal!), paired with a Robert Rodriguez batwing leather jacket, YSL tribute Mary Janes in bronze and a Laura Kranitz bird headband.

“A puffy dress is forgiving to the pear-shaped body,” Wendy says, adding that Betty can keep warm in a Manoush  camel rabbit fur coat with toggle buttons. “It’s best combined with opaque tights to complete the unexpectedly cuddly holiday outfit,” Wendy exclaims. “The tactile sense of the coat adds character to her nerdy-chic look.”

'Cause no one works nerdy like Betty does!

The Biggest Loser 6: Live Finale!
(Courtesy NBC)

And Michelle wins the sixth season of The Biggest Loser, yeah!

This makes me happy for three reasons:

1.    She was the last one standing on the Black team, and everyone loves the underdog.

2.    Her story was the one that truly tugged at your heartstrings as she worked to lose the weight and rebuild the between her and her estranged mom Renee (who looked fantastic too!).

3.    Vicky didn’t win!

While winning the show is based on weight loss, it’s nice to know that someone who played the game fairly actually got the big prize.

It wasn’t too surprising that America picked Ed to be in the finals – in an 84 percent landslide no less! – over his wife Heba, despite his pleas to put her in the finals.

I pretty much felt like America did. While it would have been great to see an all-girl finale, the thought of giving that whiny, "it’s all about me woman" a chance for $250,000 was just unbearable.

Of course, Heba had the last laugh, winning the eliminated contestant weigh-in with a 156 lb. weight lost off her 294 lb. frame. Yes, she would have definitely been The Biggest Loser with those numbers. And I would have hated that.

My only consolation of her eliminated contestant winnings is that the $100,000 prize money will also go to her sweet and devoted (possibly delusional?) hubby. And it’s nice to know that Heba is in the best condition to start their family.

Didn’t Stacey look incredible? To be on the first team eliminated, and then to go home and lose 65 lbs. on her own just goes to show that, yes, it can be done in real life.

Mom and daughter team Shellay and Amy? Holla. Those gals looked fierce!

And Phil? Day-um! Who knew there was a hottie hiding under all that excess weight? His wife Amy looked incredible too. I’m sure she’ll spend years ribbing him about how she beat his final weight by one pound!

Congrats to all the players, who all lost more than 60 lbs. In my book, they are all winners.

They motivated me to get up and hit the gym this morning. That is a miracle!

No Will & Grace Spin-off
(Wire Image)

OK, this is kind of bummer news.

A couple of months ago, there was some hype that former Will & Grace co-stars Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes were set to star in a spin-off of the hit comedy.

The pair would revise the kooky and lovable duo for a series that could make it to the NBC comedy lineup as early as Fall 2009.

I spoke with Eric McCormack, who starred as one of the title characters of Will & Grace (you should know which one!) for the series entire eight year run, and he told me there’s no spin-off in the making.

“To my knowledge, there’s no talk of that, it’s all just a fun rumor,” said Eric, who’s about stars in the new dramedy, Trust Me, premiering Jan. 26 on TNT.

But rumors sometimes do come true, right, Eric? Here’s hoping so!
